“Nearly 1 billion people are living with a mental disorder, 3 million people die every year from the harmful use of alcohol, and one person dies every 40 seconds by suicide.” – World Health Organization
This year’s World Mental Health Day comes at a critical time. The global pandemic furthers mental health challenges for millions of people globally, across all ages, ethnicities, and genders. Children and teachers are anxious about the new learning environment. Today’s youth are disenchanted and sad. Middle-aged people are worried about job stability and the health and well being of their families. Seniors are fearful and lonely. And healthcare workers’ mental health is being called the COVID-19 crisis too few are talking about. COVID-19 has presented an entirely new set of problems when it comes to mental health. Strata Health is committed to being part of the solution. For nearly 20 years, we have been leaders and pioneers in the patient flow industry, working alongside our partners to build and deploy technology that assesses and navigates patients to appropriate services on a priority basis. Everyone deserves access to mental health services, but not everyone has the privilege of such care. We are changing that. This month, Strata Health is supporting the launch of a program that allows youth to reach out and connect to mental health resources through an online self-referral service. We have also recently announced a partnership with a regional psychological association to help navigate patients to the right psychologist. Strata Health is improving access and coordination to mental health and addiction care, providing greater transparency into resources and services within communities, and advancing overall health system utilization. Talk to us about how we can help. Together, we can make a difference. Peter Smith President & CEO Strata Health SolutionsSign up to stay in touch.
