Calgary, AB – 18th December 2019 – After six months of careful collaboration, integrated design and development, testing and training, Strata Health deployed its patient flow and resource matching technology across Canterbury District Health Board’s Community Services on 12th December.
For the first time, home-based support referrals are automatically directed to the most appropriate provider, honouring existing relationships, catchment areas and specializations, and otherwise being distributed evenly between the three contracted local vendors.
“By partnering with Strata Health, Canterbury is again leading the way with an intelligent patient flow solution that meets the needs of both providers and patients,” explained John Blundell, Strata Health’s Market Manager of Australasia. “Clinicians now simply refer their patient with a ‘click,’ confident that Strata will fairly and automatically match the patient to the most appropriate downstream care option, accurately, safely, and in real-time.”
Strata’s approach reduces manual intervention, double servicing, and ensures equitable allocation of referrals amongst home-based services and community nursing providers, as per their agreement with the Canterbury District Health Board.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating such an important milestone, ensuring Canterbury patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time,” said John Blundell. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Canterbury, deploying Strata PRISM across new care streams in 2020 and beyond.”
