From the inception of our Employee of the Month program, Wasim’s name has risen to the top, capturing a staggering 13% of all peer-to-peer nominations. This level of consistency doesn’t occur by happenstance; instead, it is evidence of his exceptional contributions and his impact on others.
Wasim’s devotion to the success of our organization has never been more apparent than in the face of his current challenges. Despite navigating serious health issues, his determination remains unshaken. He continues to be a pillar of support for every member of our team, an inspiration that reminds us all that dedication knows no bounds.
But Wasim’s impact isn’t solely confined to the professional realm. As a leader, he has shown a remarkable aptitude for fostering a sense of belonging within our team. His thoughtful gestures showcase his genuine care and dedication. These qualities make him not just a manager, but a mentor and a friend.
In recognition of his exceptional achievements, we are thrilled to announce Wasim as our 2023 Employee of the Year. And in keeping with his selflessness and generosity, Strata Health has donated £500 to Wasim’s chosen charity, Penny Appeal’s Feed Our World Campaign, a reflection of his values.

Q: What drew you to Strata Health?
After gaining experience with prominent blue-chip companies across various aspects of healthcare and IT, what ultimately influenced my decision was the organizational culture and the people. Being a part of a team that fosters an atmosphere of respect, transparency, proactive engagement, and innovative thinking deeply resonated with me on a personal level.
Q: How long have you been with the company?
A: 9 years
Q: What does your job entail?
A: I’d describe it as a hybrid role that brings together several key disciplines, spanning consultative selling, stakeholder management, traditional business development, account & relationship management, service delivery, digital transformation, data design & architecture and interoperability and management of the local support & Integration team.
Q: What do you think sets you apart in your field?
A: What differentiates me in my field is a fusion of diverse skills and an unwavering commitment to excellence. With a background that combines technical expertise and strong sales & interpersonal skills, I bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring projects align with broader organizational goals. My enthusiasm for innovation and continuous learning propels me to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and propose creative solutions, positively impacting projects and organizations. Moreover, my ability to excel under pressure and deliver results showcases my resilience. This distinctive blend of technical proficiency, consultative selling, innovation, and determination empowers me to drive success in any role I undertake.
Q: What challenges have you faced in your career?
A: In my career, I’ve encountered various challenges that have helped shape my professional growth. One significant challenge I faced was the management of large, diverse teams with differing work styles and personalities. Effective team dynamics are crucial for success, and learning to harness each team member’s strengths while addressing conflicts constructively has been a rewarding but demanding aspect of my career.
Q: Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.
A: Leading a cross-functional team, I successfully overhauled and multilingualized a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Platform, selling it in international markets. Amid technical complexities and varied international stakeholder expectations, we delivered on time, surpassing functionality expectations. This success not only bolstered our client’s confidence in our services, but our US client then procured the company. It was a testament to the power of collaboration and problem-solving, and it’s a project I’m immensely proud of because it showcased our ability to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results.
Equally, I swiftly secured the quickest Strata PathWays deal six weeks after joining in 2014, followed by another successful deal at week 12.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
A: Work Smart, not hard.
Q: How would your best friend describe you in three words?
A: If my best friend were to describe me in three words, they might say: Reliable, Meticulous, Sarcastic
Q: Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.
A: I’m a qualified Thai boxing instructor and also fought competitively between the ages of 18 – 24.
