Welcome back to another edition of our Staff Spotlight series, where we highlight the exceptional team members at Strata Health. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Tracey Myers, Software Support Analyst for Strata Health Canada.

▶ On the bucket list: My trip to Africa in January 2024 hit a lot of bucket list things like watching sea turtles hatch and escorting them to the ocean and getting to see a loggerhead turtle lay eggs. I was able to feed and interact with a couple of elephants, hold a crocodile, and handle a venomous king cobra. I still want to experience what an earthquake feels like, just a small one and I want to see a live volcano.
Q: What drew you to Strata Health?
A: A friend told me to apply, I looked at the job and said it is way over my head. She looked at it and after yelling at me for a while about what I CAN do, she demanded I send my resume in!
Q: How long have you been with the company?
A: Just over 3 years.
Q: What does your job entail?
A: Front line customer service. I help users with any issues they are experiencing when using our application. Reactivate expired accounts, password resets, training if necessary, create new accounts, deactivate accounts and configuration in the application when needed. My biggest concern is always customer service, so I make sure to keep customers happy and take care of them first and foremost.
Q: What do you think sets you apart in your field?
A: Working with lawyers for 17 years gives me a unique perspective when it comes to people. I know how to talk to people whether they are happy or not. I guess at the end of the day, I am a people person.
Q: What challenges have you faced in your career?
A: The perpetual changes in technology, as soon as I get it, it changes.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
A: Drive like everyone else is drunk. I don’t drive any more but that was the best advice.
Q: How would your best friend describe you in three words?
A: Reliable, Curious and Creative
Q: Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.
A: I should have been an earth scientist, geologist or volcanologist. To me the planet is a living breathing organism, not just something that contains life, it is life.
I LOVE languages, it is literally like music to my ears. It doesn’t matter what it is, I love hearing it.
One of my art fans is/was Adrian Holmes, he’s been in lots of movies and TV shows.
