Q: What drew you to Strata Health?

A: Strata inherited me when they acquired SilverSearch in 2020. I did data collection outreach back then and since then my role has expanded greatly. I was initially drawn to health care technology though because I felt that it was a way to help patients. My time in hospitals was always scary and stressful and I found meaning working on a product meant to help patients in a transition.

Q: How long have you been with the company?

A: 5 years

Q: What does your job entail?

A: I do all things post-acute care here in the US! From training, data collection, renewing accounts, technical support, open houses… if you’re a post-acute care provider you’ve probably talked to me.

Q: What do you think sets you apart in your field?

A: I think people can feel that I really do care. I’m passionate about improving patient outcomes and I believe that the people I work with can feel that.

Q: What challenges have you faced in your career?

A: I don’t have a clinical background and sometimes find myself wishing I did. It can be a steep learning curve but knowing I have support and strength in my team has kept me confident and learning every single day.

Q: Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.

A: Recently at a hospital collaboration meeting in Arizona, a regional leader in charge of a group of 35+ skilled nursing facilities who I’ve worked with for years called me out and was very complimentary. It really was a nice moment of recognition in a relationship that I’ve valued for a long time.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

A: “The only thing I do know is that we have to be kind. Please, be kind. Especially when we don’t know what’s going on.” Everything Everywhere All at Once

Q: How would your best friend describe you in three words?

A: “Generous, driven, empathetic, wise & kind, I can’t narrow it down 🤪”

Q: Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.

A: In elementary school I won a contest for having no cavities and was featured in Parenting magazine! I’m sure my parents still have the magazine but unfortunately my no cavities streak did not continue through adulthood.
