Q: What drew you to Strata Health?

A: The merging of healthcare and software, which is the space I’ve worked in for virtually my entire career.  But also it’s energy and culture and that it’s fairly small sized—I find that a lot more appealing than a gargantuan company with thousands and thousands of employees.

Q: How long have you been with the company?

A: Eight years.

Q: What does your job entail?

A: Customer success is obviously a customer-facing role, so it’s a lot of communication with the people using our solutions.  Sometimes it’s overseeing projects to implement software, sometimes it’s training, sometimes it’s strategic planning and working to align a customer’s needs with our solutions. Ultimately, though, I look at my job as being responsible for making sure our customers are as happy as they can be with Strata.

Q: What do you think sets you apart in your field?

A: I really care about my work and my job, and I want my customers to thrive.  I think this pushes me to be conscientious in everything I do.

Q: What challenges have you faced in your career?

A:    Sometimes we have customers who just won’t engage.  It’s frustrating and certainly challenging, but we never stop trying.  Our team came up with an amalgam for our efforts in connecting with these types of customers: percistency.  Persistent and consistent outreach!

Q: Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.

A: One of my customers told my manager that the reason she chose to expand Strata’s presence in her hospital was because of the trust and relationship that she and I had.  That was an amazing and humbling thing to hear.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

A: The advice I think about often is a quote from Joe Lombardi, “Gentlemen, we will chase perfection, and we will chase it relentlessly, knowing all the while we can never attain it. But along the way, we shall catch excellence.”  I just love the message—it’s positive and encouraging and realistic. I especially think about it when I’m drawing.  All of my pieces have a lot of detail and usually take 100+ hours, and it’s easy to obsess to the point where it becomes counterproductive.  I have to accept that a drawing will never be perfect, but hopefully it will be excellent!

Q: How would your best friend describe you in three words?

A: Fun-loving nerd

Q: Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.

A:  I used to be able to dunk a basketball, but that was a looong time ago!
