Q: What drew you to Strata Health?
A: I was fresh out of school and found the role harmonized well with my experience, plus, there was a sense of purpose and meaning for a company engaged in healthcare coming off the heels of the pandemic. It also helped that I interned at Synopsys and they and Strata have had a history of employees bouncing back and forth!
Q: How long have you been with the company?
A: It will be 3 years by the end of November.
Q: What does your job entail?
A: I help develop the backend integration components and technologies necessary for Strata to connect to the healthcare systems that we operate with every day.
Q: What do you think sets you apart in your field?
A: My user/people centric focus – I want to make things that people want to use. I always think about how not just software, but other things I do could improve the lives of others or make them smile – using my empathy to drive the best results!
Q: What challenges have you faced in your career?
A: Adaptation! It is the name of the game in the software field. I have always been surprised by the breadth of knowledge I have encountered and been challenged to gain proficiency in, even in areas I thought I was familiar with. Maintaining a versed expertise in the latest tools and technologies is one challenge that engages me every day.
Q: Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.
A: On the fly resolution of high priority, time sensitive issues of a very recent nature certainly comes to mind. Being able to tackle a challenging go-live was a major point for me in demonstrating my capacity to address critical consumer concerns while under high pressure, and successfully delivering at the end of the day.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
A: Better finished than perfect!
Q: How would your best friend describe you in three words?
A: Creative, Kind, Passionate

A: Come December, I will have visited every continent except Africa.
