An experienced case manager and highly trusted advisor, Marmmett Horton is a steadying force, helping hospitals and health systems leverage digital technologies and solutions that optimize transitions of care processes, workflows, and compliances while improving patient and provider experiences. 

Now, the Senior Vice President and General Manager at Strata Health US, Marmmett is a noteworthy leader in the case management space, known for her passion and industry knowledge. She worked as a case manager for over 20 years, in both bedside and leadership positions, before moving into the vendor space 15 years ago, providing consulting and supportive products to case management programs. She is proud to lead the Strata U.S. business and a talented team committed to supporting hospitals, health systems and post-acute providers in achieving greater operating efficiencies, increased productivity, and more positive outcomes for patients during transitions of care. 

In addition to her Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), Marmmett also holds her Accredited Case Manager (ACM-SW) credentials and Case Management Administrator Certification (CMAC). Marmmett loves spending time in the company of family and friends and is an avid traveler and nature lover, enjoying time outdoors whether hiking in the mountains or participating in water activities.

Katie Hanner is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator & Regional Director of Operations with Petersen Health Care, who has close to 20 years experience in long term care. Petersen Health Care is a leader in Long-Term Care, Assisted Living & Memory Care in Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. They are dedicated to assisting the elderly population in maintaining the highest quality of life for the longest possible time.  Katie spent many years as a Regional Marketing Director where she worked with multiple hospital partners and systems throughout Illinois.  Her years of experience and trials and tribulations of changes in the industry will bring a unique insight to the panel.

Amanda Hargrove, DNP, RN, CMAC, NE-BC

Amanda Hargrove is a Registered Nurse of 27 years. Amanda has devoted 17 years of her nursing practice to acute care case management, and is currently the Sr. Director for inpatient Case Management & Utilization Review Services at ECU Health serving eastern North Carolina where she has been employed for over 36 years. Amanda specializes in leadership, has a passion for case management and hospital operations and loves working with team members on challenging complex cases. Amanda is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Doctorate Degree in Nursing with an emphasis on Leadership, and received her undergraduate degree from East Carolina University as well. Amanda is a Board Certified Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a Certified Case Management Administrator through the American Case Management Association (ACMA), and an Accredited Case Manager through the ACMA as well. She has been a member of the National and NC State Chapter of the ACMA for many years, and is currently serving on the NC ACMA Board of Directors since May 2021.

Mary Hunt, BSN, RN, ACM-RN is a Registered Nurse with over 18 years of Case Management experience in the hospital setting. Mary began her career in Case Management at Maricopa Medical Center, a safety-net hospital in Phoenix, Arizona in 2004. She has held Manager and Director roles in Case Management and is currently the Director of Care Coordination at Dignity Health, Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, Arizona. Mary earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Grand Canyon University and a certificate of Organizational Development from Rio Salado Community College. She is a Certified Case Manager, ACM-RN, through the American Case Management Association (ACMA). Mary has a passion for serving patients, her employees, and the local community with a special emphasis on the vulnerable populations in the community. Mary has been a past member of the AZ Governor’s Substance Abuse Task Force, participates in Dignity Health Community Needs Assessment projects, and has held various roles with local charities. Mary is an active member of her local ACMA chapter, attending conferences and networking with local Case Management leaders and ACMA members.

Jennifer Tipton, BSN RN

Jennifer Tipton is a Registered Nurse with a BSN currently working as the Associate Nurse Manager of Inpatient Care Coordination. She assists in leading a team of approx. 50 employees ranging from Social Workers, discharge planners, and Care Coordinators with Nursing degrees to navigate the many challenges to obtain safe discharges from hospitalization. Her background is in dialysis, leading a home dialysis program with Peritoneal dialysis and Home Hemodialysis patients. Her spare time is spent cheering my kids on in their sporting events and spoiling her grandbabies.
