Genomics England Limited (GEL), with the consent of participants from the NHS is creating a “lasting legacy for Patients” in the form of its flagship project, the sequencing of 100k complete genomes by 2017. The project will focus on patients with rare diseases & their families, as well as patients with common cancers. 10 specialist centres from across the UK have been selected to carry out the recruitment and referral of consenting patients.
