Calgary, AB – May 28th, 2018 – Strata Health Solutions and Caredove successfully demonstrated FHIR, and SMART on FHIR, interoperability at FHIR North Code Camp. The 2018 FHIR North Code Camp, hosted by Mohawk College in Hamilton Ontario, focused on advancing adoption of new upcoming FHIR standards in the Ontario health care space.
As part of the day long event, local and internal health software vendors were encouraged to implement proof of concept interfaces in support of the Canadian Draft eReferral Specifications currently under development. Caredove and Strata Health were the first and only two vendors at the conference to implement and demonstrate multiple referral scenarios in line with the Canadian eReferral Specifications. For example, the vendors showcased a SMART on FHIR Launch from Caredove into Strata PathWays with bidirectional referral support between the two solutions.
“This successful integration demonstrates Strata Health’s commitment to supporting the latest and most robust interoperability standards, across our global clientele. This lays the groundwork in further supporting Ontario’s FHIR based eReferral standards and evolving legacy interfaces ” says Peter Smith, Strata Health’s Executive Vice President.
“We, at Caredove, are incredibly excited to see Strata Health join in and tangibly demonstrate commitment to HL7 FHIR based eReferral standards in Canada, by cooperating to build a functional two-way eReferral integration between Caredove and Strata Pathways. We believe that FHIR is the future of eReferral integration and look forward to further contributing to this process in the future.” says Tim Berezny, Caredove’s CTO.
