System & Network Administrator

Strata Health Solutions is looking for a System & Network Administrator to join our infrastructure team in the Calgary office.

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Implementing, supporting, monitoring, and testing technology infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing systems and network issues
  • Provide technical support to all departments of the company
  • Interacting with other network services staff, developers, and business stakeholders
  • Understanding existing product requirements and learning new product requirements
  • Eventual participation in on-call after hours support rotation
  • Coordinating and managing 3rd party vendors

 

Skills / Experience


  • 5+  years experience working in a Systems or Network Administration role
  • Post Secondary education (University Degree or equivalent) preferably in computer science or other technical discipline

Technical Skills

Server Administration

  • Virtualization (Xen)
  • OS’s: Unix/Linux, Windows, Windows Server, MacOS X
  • Monitoring tools -> New Relic, dell open manage, SNMP
  • Databases: Oracle, MySQL/mariaDb
  • Email Services
  • HA Concepts
  • DR Concepts

Network Administration

  • NAT, Firewall, Gateway, VPN
  • Cisco/Dell Device config
  • DHCP, DNS, NTP
  • Security Certificates
  • Apache, IIS, Tomcat

Desktop Support

  • Experience 1st/2nd/3rd tier
  • Best Practice
  • Customer interaction
  • Incident / Problem management
  • Configure machines for new hires according to company spec

  • Security clearance will be required

MUST be legally able to work in Canada for more than 1 year

English/French Bilingual is an asset
