Bilingual (English/French) Senior Business Development Manager

Role Description

The Bilingual Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and delivering sales of the Strata Health software suite.  Reporting to the Vice President of Client Development & Strategic Partnerships, the successful candidate will bring a wide range of existing connections in the Health Care industry across Canada, with a bias toward Quebec and Ontario.  The Strata Health head office is based in Calgary, but this position is available for any Canadian resident.

Duties of the Business Development Manager:

  • Engages senior decision makers / influencers within the Health Care Industry – advancing Strata Health profile and business by:
    • Creating new contacts within the industry
    • Developing and executing introductory meetings and presentations
    • Leading product demonstrations & strategy workshops
    • Coordinating and presenting business proposals across business cycle
    • Maintaining relationships with key decision makers & frontline stakeholders
  • Executes tactical business development plans in order to achieve revenue targets
  • Coordinates business proposals in response to Requests for Proposals


Requirements for the role

  • Proven business development manager with a track record in winning new business
  • Has an understanding of the healthcare industry and challenges facing it
  • Bilingual (French / English)
  • Able to access and have dialogue with senior health industry decision makers / influencers
  • Capable of undertaking sales and marketing research
  • Motivated to meet new contacts and present value propositions
  • Strong writing skills to contribute to presentations, RFP writing, case studies, and press releases
  • Capacity to demonstrate software solutions with a clinical and operational context
  • Demonstrated ability to sell through a long and complex sales cycle
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in handling multiple demands, shifting priorities, changing to different circumstances in different provincial environments
